Our story
Greetings, We are a small, family-owned, Thai neighbourhood restaurant which has served Surbiton for over 12 years!
We offer a variety of traditional Thai and Southeast-Asian dishes. From mild to spicy dishes, and from fresh to flavourful culinary delights, we hope to welcome your taste-buds to truly authentic Thai food. Whether you have, or haven't, tried Thai food before, there is always a dish on our menu suited to everyone.
The owners, Nay (originally from Si Sa Ket, Thailand) and Jon (from London), first met at sea while working on a cruise ship. Together, they soon moved to leafy Surbiton where Nay Thai first started serving food at the Saucy Kettle pub in 2011 (now closed). Soon after in 2013, Nay Thai had its grand reopening on Saint James' Road at our current location.
Thailand can often be known as the 'Land of Smiles', due to the friendly and welcoming nature of Thai people, as well as the stunning food, landscapes, and beaches which undoubtedly make us all smile. Our small restaurant is no exception, and we hope to extend the Land of Smiles over to Surbiton, and wish you a pleasant experience dining with us.
